Belfry and Market Halls 

In medieval Bruges the Belfry and Market Halls were a bustling market place that drew many of the city’s citizens to its place under the gothic bell tower. Today the echoing charms of the bell tower can still be heard and it is possible to climb the tower’s 366 steps to get sweeping views across beautiful Bruges.  Other travelers recommend going up the tower steps as you are rewarded with unmatchable panoramic views over the city. Groeninge Museum 

The Groeninge Musuem is Bruges’s museum of fine arts. Inside the art galleries are the works of painters like Hans Memling and Jan van Eyck. Church of Our Lady

The Church of Our Lady was completed in the 15^th century after a two century long construction process. The result is the world’s largest 381 foot brick spire that can be seen for miles. Choco Story 

Choco Storty is a museum that is dedicated to tell the story of chocolate. The stated mission of the museum is: “To make known the story of the transformation of cocoa into chocolate and to promote the health and quality aspects of Belgian chocolate.”  For those who want to hear and know the story of chocolate this is a great stop. On another note, it is also possible to skip the museum and just head to one of Bruges many chocolate shops to simply sample the goods.
